Cat Onigiri Mold

A cat head mold to create onigiri or other kawaii rice balls

Sometimes it's hard to get your kids to eat and mealtime can be a real ordeal. Nothing like a cat onigiri mold to bring your rice balls to life and make them more appetizing to children - and even the older ones.

The culinary art of shaping food into characters, objects or landscapes is called bento kyaraben. This practice is widespread in Japan and is often performed by Japanese mothers for their children's lunch. It is a mark of attention and love and it makes the meal more attractive. The bento kyaraben is also an opportunity for Japanese mothers to compete with each other.

This cat head shaped mold will allow you to prepare cute and appealing onigiri, rice balls filled with salty or sour filling. The cookie cutter supplied with it allows you to cut out four cat facial expressions in Nori seaweed, ham or cheese...
